it’s been.. a While.
ON HIATUS
well, i’ve been toying with the idea for a while. i’m going through the most difficult year of my studies, and i barely have the time anymore to regularly update this blog and make edits, thus my inactivity in the networks i’m in. i’m really sorry about that.
also, i’ve been staying away from tumblr in general, for self care reasons i guess? i don’t want this website to take all my time, and quite frankly, i lost a bit of the enjoyment i initially got from being here.
that doesn’t mean i’m deleting or going away for good though. i’m still debating that. i’m really proud of my blog and the friends i made along the way, some of which i ended up befriending IRL. i don’t know the exact date, but i’m pretty sure i’ve been here for 7 years. that’s a lot.
what i’m sure of is that i won’t be active until i’m done with my semester finals and my internship, which will be at the end of june, possibly july too depending if i pass all my subjects or not. if i decide to come back afterwards, my blog will go through some changes.
if you were sending me messages here, i promise i’ve not been ignoring you but like i said i’m avoiding tumblr altogether for now. however, if you want to keep interacting with me, i’m way more active on twitter, you can dm me there or follow me, or just say hi. that’s the only social media i’ll be on so i can keep my focus on my exams.
that’s all i think, wish me luck, maybe? it’s a rough period of my med student life but i’m hanging on, and can’t wait for this year to be behind me.

you’re my family.
Making friends on tumblr is weird. It’s like “Hi, I don’t know where you’re from but I know your kinks and exactly how depressed you were last Tuesday.”

give me a letter and i’ll tell you my five favorite blogs that start with that letter
alright sit the fuck down because I’m gonna say something that I know some of y’all still gonna try to find a way to argue against.
literally everything is problematic. everything has problems. nothing in this world is exempt from mistakes. literally nothing is perfect. If you hold something up to the ideal of perfection, the idea of something being flawless - it will come up short every single time.
you can scour anything for flaws and problems — any piece of literature, any work of art, film, tv show, short film, actor, artist, poet, any person and anything — and find problems with it. it might be 4 flaws or it might be 44 flaws, but you will find them if you are looking for a reason to call something out on account of it being problematic.
so when you make a post trying so desperately to tear down something on the basis that it’s ‘problematic’ (for what? internet points? being ‘woke’ about something you probably aren’t as educated as an actual scholar about?) — you’re right! you’re absolutely correct in your assertion that that piece of work is problematic.
quick: think of something. anything. a movie, maybe a book. got it in your mind? good. now get this: that thing you’re holding in your mind’s eye is problematic as fuck, my dude.
I’m problematic as hell. you’re problematic as hell. everyone in this world has their problems - says things, does things that are problematic.
but guess what? that doesn’t negate the fact that some people will enjoy ‘problematic’ things. you cannot (and really shouldn’t, if you’re trying to be a decent ass human being) dictate what someone gets enjoyment from. do not march into someone’s house and tell them how they should decorate it.
